Gujarat is in India which is on the western part of India and bordering Pakistan, known as ‘अनार्त प्रदेश’(Land in west) during Mahabharat period. It is one of the state in India with a coastline of 1,600 km (990 mi). Gujarat is among Indias most prosperous states in India which has has current population of Gujarat is 60.4 million. Name of this place Gujarat is derived from the Pratihar dynasty of Gurjars. Later on it was known as ‘गुर्जर प्रदेश’(Land of Gurjar) and the Gujarat name was derived from the word ‘Gurjar Pradesh’. The capital, Gandhinagar is a planned city of Gujarat.
